Making micro-finance accessible to everyone
Findeed makes micro-finance easily accessible to low-income groups by using technology to streamline the entire loan application, verification, disbursement and payment process — making it quick, conversational, and truly usable for the intended audience.
The Challenge
Designing for the underserved
- 01 Target users are not tech-savvy — the app needed to be extremely easy to use with no complex interactions or jargon.
- 02 All user flows had to be conversational, where users could move up and down the screen to access and edit previously entered details.
- 03 The UI needed abundant visual cues and help text throughout every step to build confidence in the user.
- 04 Clear information about repayment schedules, due dates, and amounts was essential for trust and adoption.

Greet & Qualify
The AI assistant greets the user, establishes context and guides them to choose between personal or education loans.
Collect Details
Through natural conversation, user details, employer info and family data are collected without overwhelming forms.
Verify Identity
Aadhaar, PAN card and Voter ID are scanned via camera — OCR auto-fills details, minimising manual entry errors.
Approve & Disburse
Loan eligibility is calculated instantly. Vouchers are verified, EMIs are shown clearly, and funds are disbursed.

- Camera-first document upload — users can click a picture or pick from gallery
- OCR auto-fills Aadhaar details, eliminating transcription errors for semi-literate users
- Front and back side collection with clear progress indicators
- Graceful error states when PAN card is unavailable — data is saved for resumption

- Payslip and bank statement uploaded once — no re-submission across flows
- Preview, re-upload and delete actions available post-upload

Findeed launched to serve blue-collared workers across India — factory workers, domestic helpers, small traders — giving them access to financial tools that were previously inaccessible. The conversation-first design removed the biggest barrier: complexity.
